It was a beautiful day to begin the shelter-in-place.
How the day looked was very incongruous with what was happening in the world. A sky like this is a rare sight in the Bay Area and much of California.
I spent more time outdoors during this “shelter-in-place” than I ever had before. With the dramatic reduction of assholes in cars stinking up the roads, the Bay Area became an once-in-a-lifetime paradise for those who enjoy walking or cycling. I miss the early days of the pandemic, particularly April and May when the entirety of the Marin Headlands was closed to motorized vehicles.
Today I rode to some of the same places from a year ago.
At the spot where a giant cotton candy-like cloud made it impossible for me not to stop exactly a year ago, there was something else that did the same.
